We are aware that getting married today is demanding and goes against the tide, and in the intertwining of desires and fears, the choice to postpone marriage, without excluding it, seems in fact what most young people prefer. There is nothing against marriage but at the moment the difference between getting married and living together is not understood and is an implicit pact that is still considered authentic and sincere. Nowadays to prepare engaged couples for marriage is a real pastoral challenge but we think that it is also a unique opportunity that is not to be wasted.
