Along a path of faith and charity

The journey of the new year can only be linked to a path. We humbly consider as a path and we want to walk in the company of Saint Anthony, as always. The sculpture St. Anthony’s path “Gospel and Charity” (Sentiero di Antonio “Vangelo e Carità”) located in Camposampiero on the outskirts of Padua, provides a backdrop for reflections on goodness. Month after month, the details of this work of art will accompany us as we retrace the gestures and sensitivity of the great saint. In his lifetime, Saint Anthony’s path was guided by two fundamental principles: the Word of the Scripture, which he meditated upon, studied and preached; and charity towards the little ones, the least and the poor. His example continues to inspire admiration and imitation to this day. Throughout this year, we are invited to retrace his steps, guided by the words and actions that characterised his journey to holiness. Each monthly image will remind us the Gospel values, attitudes of faith and aspirations. As we fix our gaze on Anthony’s face, we will feel as though he is looking at us.
