An open world

After the courageous complaint of the lack of fraternity in the first chapter of the Encyclical and after finding light meditating on the parable of the good Samaritan in the second chapter, Pope Francis in the third chapter “envisaging and engendering an open world” speaks about the value of a human person according to the tradition of the Church. According to the Pope a human person must be considered relating to others; there is no life when we claim to be self sufficient, a human being living as an island is not understandable. “Human beings are so made that they cannot live, develop and find fulfilment except ‘in the sincere gift of self to others’. They can not fully know themselves apart from an encounter with other persons”. “I communicate effectively with myself only insofar as I communicate with others”. (Continue)
