To bless or not to bless?

I know that it is a delicate issue but I must say that I was rather baffled by the official decision of the Church not to bless homosexual couples. Someone ironically said that to bless weapons of war is not a problem... M.M. Yes, this question is delicate and much debated. The Congregation for the Doctrine of the faith has responded negatively to the possibility of imparting a blessing to unions of same sex couples responding to a dubium that had been presented to the Dicastery and underlining the difference between the marriage of a man and a woman and this makes us hope that this clarification will not exclude the possibility of understanding different situations. I think that today, in our sensitivity, there are some problems in blessing weapons of war even though it is not formally forbidden. The Church is moving along like each one of us: everyone has his own unique time and speed to change and to make decisions. Anyhow the issue of the blessing of unions of same sex couples remains delicate and much debated: still en route!
