These days we often wish each other a Happy New Year. A new year is a new beginning, it is like a new birth, a new quality of time. But we feel like the last years have eroded our hope and trust: the pandemic and the war have tarnished our expectations for the future and the possibility of imagining it as a good one. It is what has happened to ourselves too: these traumatic events have shattered our world and we no longer know who we are, we do not recognize ourselves because a part of us no longer exist!
