The Vatican announced that the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) has been postponed following the death of Pope Francis. The personality of this young man, devoted to the Blessed Mother and the Eucharist, who died prematurely of fulminant leukaemia on 12 October 2006 at the age of 15, is now well known. Particularly gifted in the use of IT tools, he used the media in his service as a catechist and above all in his friendships, to share the faith that he professed openly and with conviction, witnessing to it with an extraordinary consistency of life. Carlo was very attached to the dimension of prayer, but also to the practice of charity, especially towards the most marginalised. This does not mean that that he was impassive, dispassionate or sad and serious. (continue)
