The sky at sunset

Elide Siviero

The clear blue sky is always a spectacle that opens the heart, gives a feeling of freedom and lightness; but today I felt a different emotion. There was an incredible sky: towards evening, at sunset, I saw colours that I had never seen before. At the bottom, to the east, there were little blue clouds; to the west, instead, the fiery red of the sun illuminated the whole sky. But the really wonderful thing was to see at the centre other clouds breaking the sun’s rays, giving rise to other colours, such as a unique pink, unimaginable. A breathtaking palette of colours that changed minute by minute as the sun came down on the horizon. It was a unique and short show: about ten minutes of a masterpiece never seen before.
