Justice is spending yourself for the other

If there is an impulse of the soul that particularly characterises men and women of all times and that immediately moves us almost by instinct, perhaps we should recall exactly what happens inside us when we realise that justice is not respected. It is precisely in these situations that we experience one of the strongest inner impulses.

This does not mean, then, that we are always able to behave according to justice; nor does it mean that we are always able to stand firm when we are faced with serious violations of justice. We can at least say, however, that without much reasoning we awaken in us a spark of claim when we realize that other people are being treated unfairly...
