He loved spreading the Gospel

sister Marzia Ceschia

On 24 January, the Church commemorates St. Francis de Sales, the patron saint of journalists and Catholic writers. This serves as a reminder that “what we say and write must be consistent with how we live”. The Church has always taken the field of communication very seriously because its mission is to proclaim the Gospel, good news, to humanity. This field involves various professionals, including journalists, media operators, editors, publishers, video makers, graphic designers, audio and video technicians and computer experts. This month, we want to focus our attention on a figure who embodies this important and delicate area of information and education particularly well: Blessed Giacomo Alberione (1884-1971), founder of the “Pauline Family”.
