The ripple effect of a thank you

Expressing gratitude is not only a matter of politeness but it is good for our health and happiness, it helps us to built closer bonds with the people around us.

Being thankful and expressing it to others is a sign of realistic humility, a means of seeing into ourselves. It means that we cannot do everything by ourselves and nobody will be able to have a serene life without stepping out of himself. To be able to ask for help and to be aware of our limits and fragility is already a kind of gratitude “underway”. (continue)
