Jesus’ light is for everyone

“Epiphany” means appearance, manifestation. Traces of a feast of the manifestation of the Lord have been in the East since the second century, but it is in the fourth century that it spreads, focused mainly on the Baptism of Jesus. There the Father reveals the Son born as a man to save us and fills him with the Holy Spirit: God reveals Himself as the Most Holy Trinity.

In those waters the Church is washed of all sins and the way of salvation is opened for her. In Egypt, at the same time, the feast celebrated together the birth of Jesus, the adoration of the Magi, his Baptism and the wedding of Cana.
