I recently red this short story that touched me a lot. “One day the devil was hungry. He took a bag and went out to catch souls. He was looking for something delicious: so he hid himself among the branches of a tree before the window of a holy man’ house. And he started waiting. The holy man spent his days fasting, praying, doing good. No signs of weakness. So the devil too really admired him. And he got more hungry. But one day, while observing the holy man he saw a little crack; at dusk the holy man went to the window to admire the sun going down. And he lived a moment of sadness. This was enough for the devil: he started to dig deeper into that moment and when it became a big hall he put into it his most effective ingredients: anguish, bitterness and at the end despair. So he had just to stretch out his hand to have an excellent meal” Dino Semplici. It is interesting to analyse sadness...
