The gift of the risen Lord “Peace be with you” resonates in the first words of the new Pope Leo XIV, an intense and bursting word, spoken several times.
Moved and excited, he faced the world from the loggia of St. Peter’s Basilica.
Once again, the youthfulness of the Spirit swept away the calculations and predictions of these days.
It is the ever-new gift of God, for believers and unbelievers alike. We are grateful for it.
