The right to be loved

The Council Vatican II used strong words to underline the parents’ task when they choose to have a baby: «they should realize that they are thereby cooperators with the love of God the Creator, and are, so to speak, the interpreters of that love» (GS 50). Parents cooperate with God. As though he told them after the creation of the sky and of the world: “Now you have the task of continuing the creation, I will be beside you, I will never leave you alone”.
